Brockton Senior Visit: A Day of Fun, Service, and Friendly Competition
April 2, 2025

The Brockton Senior Visit was a day to remember, blending the perfect mix of community service, fun-filled activities, and friendly competition. From the first bite of breakfast to the final swing at Topgolf, every moment was filled with laughter, energy, and camaraderie.

The day kicked off with a delicious breakfast at Alexander’s, where seniors gathered to fuel up for the busy day ahead. The hearty meal set the tone for a full day of adventure, giving everyone the energy they needed to dive into the day’s activities.

Next, the group headed to Bethel Tabernacle, where they rolled up their sleeves and got to work on a rewarding community service project at the local food pantry. Seniors teamed up to organize, package, and distribute food, bringing smiles to the faces of those in need. It was an impactful way to give back to the community while building stronger bonds with one another. This meaningful experience was part of the Light Foundation’s flag-ship program, Camp Vohokase, in an effort to empower youth through mentorship, leadership, and community service. The Foundation’s commitment to giving back to the community and fostering leadership skills was evident in every aspect of the day.

After the hard work, it was time for some excitement! The group made their way to Supercharged Entertainment, where the fun factor went into overdrive. High-speed Go-Karts provided the perfect rush of adrenaline, while the trampoline park turned everyone into kids again as they bounced their way through the afternoon. For those looking for a futuristic thrill, the Hyperdeck immersive video game offered a one-of-a-kind experience. It was an afternoon full of energy and excitement!

Before jumping into the next adventure, the group enjoyed a well-deserved lunch. The delicious meal provided the perfect opportunity to recharge, share stories, and laugh about the day’s earlier activities. It was a moment of relaxation and connection before the fun continued.

As the sun began to set, the group made their way to Topgolf for some friendly competition and a fantastic dinner. Whether they were swinging for the fences or just enjoying the lively atmosphere, Topgolf proved to be the perfect way to wrap up the day.

The Brockton Senior Visit was the ideal blend of giving back, creating memories, and having a blast. It was a day that brought the community closer together while also providing an opportunity for everyone to unwind and enjoy some good old-fashioned fun while being offered support. From volunteering at the food pantry to racing Go-Karts, it was an experience that will be remembered for years to come.

We look forward to next year’s visit and are incredibly grateful to everyone who made this special day possible!
