Youth Wild Turkey Hunts

About the Youth Wild Turkey Hunts

The youth wild turkey hunt program takes place in Ohio and Rhode Island. The Ohio Youth Wild Turkey Hunt is open to minors 12 to 17 years of age and Rhode Island Youth Wild Turkey Hunt is open to minors 12 to 15 years of age. The hunts include an instructional turkey hunt seminar and a mentored turkey hunt. Young hunters, rookie or seasoned, will have the opportunity to practice all aspects of a safe hunt including calling, how to properly set-up, identifying your target and what’s beyond it, turkey biology, and turkey hunting regulations.

The goal is to create the next generation of conservation leaders by providing youth with an enjoyable and memorable outdoor experience that introduces them to safe and responsible hunting and teaches them fundamental leadership & life skills.

The benefits to Youth Hunting, include:

Gets kids outdoors learning firsthand about our natural resources.

Develops conservation-minded citizens and leaders.

Fosters a love of outdoor recreation.

Teaches important virtues like patience, respect, ethics, responsibility, and emotional control.
