Fools’ Night Out

Fools’ Night Out is an annual Light Foundation fundraiser, co-hosted by Matt Light and nationally known comic and actor, Lenny Clarke. The event was created by Light, a well-known prankster, who claims April Fools’ Day as his favorite holiday. The event features sets by sought-after Boston-based comedians that include Clarke, Steve Sweeney, and Tony V, among others. Always included are video clips from Light’s treasure trove of practical jokes, some played on former teammates like New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and the Pats’ coaching staff. Fools’ Night out is sold-out every year! Sponsors love the high-level of exposure their companies receive, and attendees look forward to a night of fun, laughter, and camaraderie.
Corporate Training Day

Take your leadership training to the next level at the Light Foundation’s 2nd Annual Corporate Training Day. This exclusive event offers business leaders an intensive and powerful way to learn from America’s Finest Military Elite to build key leadership skills through an immersive, one-of-a-kind experience. The day will feature 5 shooting stations where guests will receive individualized instruction on the proper use of both handguns and rifles, infused with the best military training principles. All meals will be provided – from a continental breakfast to a five-star barbeque lunch, to an intimate gourmet farm-to-table dinner! The evening will conclude with a fireside chat and Q&A session with Light Foundation Founder, Matt Light and the day’s talented instructions. Some of the themes discussed will include adversity, operating under the extreme stress of military situations, and how to overcome when the odds are stacked against you.
Matt Light Celebrity Shoot-Out

The Matt Light Celebrity Shoot-Out is one of the premier clay shooting tournaments in the country and continues to grow in popularity and participation year after year! Since its inception in 2004, this unique event has raised more than $8 million for the Light Foundation – which provides outdoor and hands-on learning experiences to 7,500 young people each year.
This one-of-a-kind event invites foursomes of shooters from all over New England to converge on Addieville East Farms in Rhode Island to mingle with celebrities, experience a host of exhibitions and raffles, and test their skills out in a variety of shooting sports, and compete at a handgun range. Attendees can also take part in 3D archery and fly fishing! In addition to all the action, the Shoot-Out also consists of an after-party featuring live music and an auction run by Light and Comedians, Lenny Clarke and Tony V.
Boston Bruins Alumni Benefit Game
For the past six years, the Light Foundation and the Boston Bruins Foundation have joined forces to support young people on their leadership journey. Each year, two dozen players on the Light Foundation All-Star team sharpen their skates to face-off against Bruins greats of yesteryear. Friends of the Light Foundation fill the stands to cheer their team to victory in this annual grudge match.
Gauntlet Mud Run

Since 2012, The Light Foundation has hosted the Annual Gauntlet Mud Run at Chenoweth Trails in Greenville, Ohio. The race is made up of natural terrain and military-inspired obstacles that require the use of teamwork and perseverance to make it to the finish line. The competitors will face several obstacles that include walls to climb, ropes to swing across, and mud to crawl through. The more they conquer the MUDDIER they will get! The Gauntlet Mud Run has taken on immense popularity within the surrounding areas, accommodating over 650 participants and 200 volunteers, and although it’s a fun community activity, the top runners are rewarded. The top two male and female finishers will be recognized in the following age categories: 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; and a CASH PRIZE of $100 to the Top Overall Finisher. Awards will also be presented to the Top Team participating and competing for the Team/Corporate and School Challenge.
Winter Wonderland at Chenoweth Trails
The Light Foundation’s Winter Wonderland at Chenoweth Trails is a fundraiser that includes a memorable one mile outdoor walk through sparkling holiday lights and a beautiful Christmas Tree display expanded to our newly built timber frame tree house and covered bridge! All brought to you by Lowe’s and decorated by local companies, schools, and organizations.
For a donation, guests can enjoy roasting marshmallows while sipping on some delicious hot cocoa. Kids will have the opportunity to see Santa working in his toy shop in between playing games, making crafts, and listening to Christmas music! There will be an Adopt-a-Tree contest where guests can vote for their favorite decorated tree. Don’t forget to drop off your letter to Santa too!
