Bond Strengthening: A Winter Update on the Camp Vohokase Sophomore Class
February 18, 2025

We had the chance to reconnect with our sophomore campers from Plant City, Florida — Michael, Junior, Travis, and Jesus through Camp Vohokase, our flagship leadership program. This visit was all about deepening our relationship with each of them, offering support, and helping them work through any challenges they’re facing. It was an incredibly rewarding day that helped strengthen our bond with both the campers and their families.

After picking up the guys from school, we spent the day focused on having fun together and building stronger connections. We kicked things off with a trip to Topgolf, where we played a friendly game of “Go Big or Go Home.” Watching the campers swing their clubs, trying to outscore each other, was such a blast! The competitive energy was a great way to bring everyone together. From there, we headed to Dave & Buster’s for dinner and games. The campers really enjoyed the VR experiences, especially Godzilla and Walking Dead, and it was fun to see them let loose and just have a good time. It felt like we were all truly enjoying the moment, and you could tell how much they appreciated the chance to unwind.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to plan our next visit, which will involve some community service at a local food pantry. Not only will it give the campers a chance to help those in need, but it will also provide more opportunities for them to grow together personally. We’re looking forward to sharing more moments of laughter, teamwork, and connection as we continue on this journey.

Each of these young men is facing their own set of challenges, but it’s been incredible to see their progress and resilience. They are each growing in their own way, and we are so proud of the effort they put in every day. Our commitment to supporting them is stronger than ever, and we’re excited to continue walking beside them as they take on new opportunities and overcome obstacles.

This visit was another important step in building trust and encouraging personal growth. It’s amazing to see how far they’ve come, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for them. We’re beyond proud of these guys and excited to continue this journey with them.
