Hello Friends,
It is with our most sincere appreciation that we thank you for your support of our 19th annual Matt Light Celebrity Shoot-Out presented by Rockport Mortgage Corporation. We are humbled by the generosity of folks like you who believe in our cause and make this one of the most successful fundraisers around year after year.
Once again, we had a capacity crowd in attendance, comprised of new and returning sponsors, and volunteers who routinely assist in big and small ways to make the Shoot-Out possible. A huge nod of gratitude goes to our key benefactors this year: Title Sponsor Rockport Mortgage; Target Sponsor Smith & Wesson; Hot Shot Sponsors J. Derenzo Charitable Foundation, Putnam Investments, Douglas A. King Builders, and Santoro Oil; Silver Sponsors Ruger and Eastern Propane and Oil; Signage Sponsors Sig Sauer, NEIGC, and Mossberg; Charging Station Sponsor Talking Rain/Sparkling Ice; and Ammo Sponsors Vista Outdoors — Federal and Remington, and Target Sports USA.
Big kudos to our 2023 Shoot-Out partners, as well, including: Verizon Wireless, Thistle Communications, GraVoc, Cardi’s Furniture, Mike and Lenny Clarke, Jim Figara, Peak Event Rentals, Pranzi Catering & Events, and Gordon Food Services.
Thank you to our food and beverage sponsors, including Chris Scott and Chef Dave from the Capital Grille; The Sausage Guy, Blackbird Farms LLC, Dan’s Pizza, 110 Grill, and Dunkin’ Donuts.
Harpoon, KEEL Vodka, Newport Lemonade, Boston Harbor Distillery, Rosenblum Cellars, Coke, and Sparkling Ice also deserve a big shout out.
To our exhibitors — Kawasaki, Rolling Stogies, Bass Pro Shops, Thomas and Thomas Fly Fishing, Brian Fox Studios, Tactacam, Gooseman Game Calls, Benrus, Flint and Flame, David Clayman running the Light Foundation Merchandise table, Tom Triplett Art, Team O’Neil, and all of the participating gun companies — thank you for being a part of our big day. Crazy Axes provided great entertainment with their mobile axe throwing set up. A special mention goes to Justin Gabriel and Gun Parlor for providing its mobile shooting simulator. Our entertainment, provided by comedians Lenny Clarke and Tony V, and The James Montgomery Band was stellar, too! Oh, and we had a surprise visit from Gronk and other Patriots alumni!
We also tip our hats to corporate partners Granite Telecommunications, Haynes Group, Joe and Ronel Funaro, the Lykins Family Foundation, and Twelve Points Wealth, along with our Board of Directors, Shoot-Out Advisory Board, Light Foundation staff, the team at Addieville East Farm, Paul Malloy and Feeney Brothers Utility Services and all of the veterans, active-duty military, and members of law enforcement who made our event possible, and meaningful.
Finally, thanks to our volunteers. You’re the glue that held our entire event together. You give your time, energy, and yourselves, and we’re eternally grateful. Props to Volunteer Director Jenna Strickland and her husband Stephen, as well as our Auction Director, Liz Hall and her husband Scott.
Speaking of the auction, if you missed out on the silent auction, there are still a few items without bids. Check it out – these items could be yours today – mlcso.givesmart.com
The funds raised at our 19th annual Matt Light Celebrity Shoot-Out will underwrite scholarships, improve the infrastructure of our outdoor leadership facility, help execute programming for kids of all ages, run our New England-based Leadership Conference, launch our comprehensive Leadership Academy, and build up our endowment fund to ensure the financing of future programming.
