We are thrilled to announce the recipients of our 2025 Light Foundation Scholarship Program—four outstanding students who have demonstrated excellence in academics, leadership, and service throughout their high school careers.
Each of these students has earned a $1,000 scholarship to support their continued education or career training. While the scholarship program is always a highlight of our year, this round feels especially meaningful: most of these recipients have expressed their desire to return to Darke County after college or technical school to give back to the community that helped raise them.
Meet the 2025 Scholarship Recipients:
-
Allison Muhlenkamp (Franklin Monroe High School) – Attending the University of Findlay, majoring in Exercise Science with plans to pursue a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
-
Gabriella Leeper (Ansonia High School) – Headed to The Ohio State University, where she will double major in Sports Industry and Business.
-
Josh Baker (Greenville High School) – Will be attending the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology to begin a career in the skilled trades.
-
Cade Bergman (Versailles High School) – Enrolling at The Ohio State University to study Health Sciences, with plans to become a Physician Assistant through a Master’s program.
These students stood out among a strong group of applicants for their commitment to excellence, their service to others, and their desire to make a lasting impact—both personally and professionally.
Since its inception, the Light Foundation’s Darke County Scholarship Program has awarded $75,000 in scholarships to deserving local students. We’re incredibly proud to invest in the next generation of leaders, professionals, and changemakers right here at home.
